KABUL (Pajhwok): The UN Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) supported health worker salaries, medicines and supplies of over 2,300 clinics in Afghanistan, an official said on Wednesday.
UNICEF Representative in Afghanistan Fran Equiza during a visit to Helmand province wrote on his Twitter handle: “At a small clinic in Helmand, I met the inspiring Dr. Wahida she said she was happy coming every day to save lives and provide quality services for the people.”
“110 bright little students and 110 futures! At Dasht Ainak primary school in Helmand, I met energetic little girls who are eager to learn. #Afghanistan needs more girls in school,” he said.
UNICEF was committed to supporting them to continue their education and fulfill their dreams, he added.
