KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Vice and Virtue (MoVV) has prevented the forced marriage of a 12-year-old girl to 50-year-old man in northern Kunduz province.
Mohammad Akif Sadiq, spokesman for the ministry, tweeted that MoVV had stopped the marriage in the Imam Sahib district of the province.
Sadiq wrote the people involved in the forced wedding had been arrested and referred to judicial organs. Those committing such acts would be sent behind bars, he warned.
