PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): At least nine people have been killed in an overnight terrorist attack on the Karachi Police Office (KPO), officials say.
The fatalities, including five terrorists and four security personnel, came Friday night when militants stormed the building in the heart of the port city.
In what is seen as a fresh security lapse, an unknown number of assailants opened indiscriminate fire at several police buildings and houses of officers and their families.
In late January, a suicide attack on a mosque in Peshawar’s Police Lines area killed 100 people -- mostly police officials and wounded 54 others.
