Balkh appellant court decides over 5,000 cases this year

MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): The Appellant Court in northern Balkh province has decided 5360 cases out of more than 9,000 cases registered this year.

Mohammad Yousaf Abul Wafa, director of the appellant court, said 9,090 cases were submitted to the court since the beginning of this solar year and 5,360 of them had been decided and the rest were sub-judice.

He added 11,079 different warrants were issued by the city and district and military courts of the province.

He said after the takeover of the caretaker government, all judicial affairs were being conducted in the light of Sharia law.

According to him, as per the leadership’s orders, all kinds of corruption is sternly fought in Balkh and some circles involved in corruption and fraud have been punished.
