QALAT (Pajhwok): In a fresh move, the Information and Culture Department of southern Zabul province has identified and registered 18 heritage sites in the provincial capital and some districts.
Abdul Wali Basharmal, culture and tourism section head at the department, told Pajhwok Afghan News that no attention was paid to historic monuments and heritage sites in the past due to the conflict.
However, he said recently they registered many heritage sites and the preservation and maintenance of historic sites had been expedited.
