PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Following the regime change in Afghanistan in 2021, donors have halted funding for 40 COVID-19 hospitals, says the acting minister of public health.
Qalandar Ebad told a private broadcaster the halt to funding and other restrictions had upset health services in Afghanistan.
Speaking to TOLOnews, he explained different global organisations had reached agreements with Afghanistan on supporting COVID-19 hospitals.
The acting minister added talks had been held with Pakistan on the budget for three hospitals the neighbouring country had been supporting in Afghanistan.
