Afghanistan to take on Singapore in volleyball opener

KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan will play their first volleyball match against Singapore today (Thursday) in the National Cup tournament between four Asian countries hosted by the Maldives.

The tournament is being held in Male city, the capital of the Maldives.

The General Directorate of the National Olympic Committee of Afghanistan said that the Afghan team will play its first match against Singapore at 3:00pm Afghanistan time in the National Cup competitions.

The event kicked off today and will continue until February 27.

In addition to Afghanistan, teams from the Maldives, Singapore and Malaysia are participating in the tournament.
