GARDEZ (Pajhwok): The Customs Department of southeastern Paktia province has collected around five billion afghanis in revenue this year.
Customs Director Mohammad Dawood Ayubi told Pajhwok Afghan News the revenue of the ongoing year reached around five billion afghanis, recording more than a two-fold increase.
He said last year the customs’ revenue stood at two billion afghanis. Most of the revenues this year generated from the export of coal to Pakistan.
Asadullah Moqbel, a businessman, said all kinds of goods could be imported from Pakistan, barring low-quality food and medicines.
