35 people with 55 weapons arrested in Kapisa in 2 months

MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): Thirty-five people have been arrested and 55 different weapons seized from them by security forces during last two months in central Kapisa province, police said on Wednesday.

Police spokesman Abdul Fatah Fayez said the weapons included 33 Kalashnikovs, two pistols, 15 rifles, two rockets and five M4 and a number of hand grenades. These weapons confiscated in different parts of the province.

He also said security forces seized 16 kilograms of hashish being smuggled from Kapisa to Kabul in a Saracha type car.

According to Fayez, seizing the weapons and arresting the aforementioned people could have a positive effect on security.
