PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Two more cricketers from Afghanistan have joined the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL), the country’s biggest cricket extravaganza,

Najibullah Zadran and Qais Ahmed replaced England’s Jason Roy and Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga for Quetta Gladiators.

Vince and Roy left for Bangladesh to join England and would rejoin Quetta and Karachi on March 7, the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) said.

Lahore is scheduled to host the closing ceremony and final of PSL 8 on March 19. Playoffs will also take place at the Qaddafi Stadium in the Punjab capital.

The winners will lift the trophy at stake in addition to pocketing a cheque for Rs120 million. The runners-up will receive a cheque for Rs48 million.
