KABUL (Pajhwok): The German chancellor has slammed violence against women in Afghanistan and Iran, reports Radio Free Europe.
Olaf Scholz condemned the menace of violence against women in a video message on Saturday -- ahead of International Women's Day on March 8.
In both countries, he alleged, women who stood up for their rights were fought hard. “All those who stand up for freedom and justice even risk their lives, he said.”
Calling violence against women unforgivable, the chancellor said Germany supported those who stood up for human rights and women's rights.
