KABUL (Pajhwok): Russia has linked Afghanistan’s current crisis to the 20-year military presence of the US and NATO countries in the war-torn country.
“The Americans, the British and their satellites left behind devastation and poverty after their chaotic withdrawal in August 2021,” a Geneva-based Russian diplomat said.
Speaking at the United Nations Human Rights Council, Artur Chernyakov assailed the US and its allies for seeking to shift the blame for Afghanistan’s present situation to the interim government.
