KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) on Wednesday announced 23-member quad for training and T-20 International matches against Afghanistan.
The three T20I matches are scheduled to be played on 25th, 27th and 29th March in the United Arab Emirate (UAE).
Chief Selector Noorulhaq Malakzai after concluding a meeting said Afghanistan’s national team was doing well at the moment and played good games in the recent Asia Cup.
He said ahead of the contest against Pakistan the national squad will conduct its training in the UAE.
The announced squad included Rashid Khan (Captin), Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Najib Zadran, Mujeeb Zadran, Azmatullah Umarzai, Naveenulhaq, Fazal Haq Farooqi, Sharafuddin Ashraf, Noor Ahmad, Zahir Khan, Farid Malak, Sadiq Atal, Nangyalai Kharotai, Nijat Masour and Bilal Sami.
The selection committee also announced U-19 squad for the tri-series against Bangladesh and Sri Lanaka.
The squad included Kamran Hotak (Captin), Suhail Khan, Sulaiman Arabzai, Hizbullah Durani, Mohammad Haroon, Khalid Tainiwal, Wafiullah Tarakhel, Akram Mohammadzai, Jamshid Khan, Ali Ahmad, Nasir Hassan, Farhad Usman, Javid Paktin, Gulzar Khan, Naseer Ahmad, Bashir Ahmad, Faridon Dawodzai, Numan Momand, Yama Arab and Khalil Ahmad.
Some Afghan player departed to the UAE today (Wednesday) to participate in the practice matches while the U-19 will also travel in a couple of days.
