QALAT (Pajhwok): Acting Higher Education Minister Maulvi Nida Mohammad Nadim, during his trip to southern Zabul province, has promised to complete the construction work on the building for the university and address the problems of lecturers.
Addressing a gathering held in the Mirwais Khan Nika Univeristy, Nadim vowed to pay serious attention to all problems of the university next year.
He said that Zabul was a backward province and witnessed no progress and development in the past 20 years.
In addition to addressing other problems of the public university, Nadim promised to increase the salaries of lecturers.
He also talked about the renewal of the academic curriculum in the area of higher education and would upgrade the curriculum to the modern era.
Meanwhile, deputy governor Sulaiman Agha Baheer, urged the higher education minister to complete the remaining work of the university and building the student’s dormitory.
Rohullah Mashal, chancellor of the Zabul University, asked the provision of theoretical education for the students of the university in addition to practical learning in order to present skillful students to the society.
Tawos Khan Hiwadmal, a lecturer of the university on behalf of other teachers, urged shelter for the teachers.
He asked the minister to increase the salaries of teachers, provide plots and set up training workshops for capacity building.
