TALOQAN (Pajhwok): After a Pajhwok Afghan News report about unavailability of the internet in Mawara wa Kokcha district of northeastern Takhar province, the AWCC has launched high-speed 4G internet service in the district, delighting residents.
Khair Mohammad Mubariz, AWCC official in the northeast zone, told Pajhwok Afghan News that they recently launched the 4G internet service in four districts of the province.
He added 2G and 3G internet services were active in all districts of four northeastern provinces, including Takhar, and efforts were underway to activate 4G service in all districts of these provinces in upcoming year.
Residents of these districts including Kokcha, who had been complaining about lack of telecommunication networks, said the service finally reached their areas after several reports in the media, including Pajhwok.
Sadruddin, a civil activist in the district, said: “People in these districts were deprived of internet services besides other services. Eth the launch of 4G internet service by AWCC, one of our main issues is now resolved.”
He added previously they faced problems in contacting their families outside the country and the province.
Qari Alauddin, a resident of Khwaja Ghar, said: “4G internet service has been recently launched in our area, but it does not work properly, and we hope the issue will be solved permanently.”
He added people were facing problems due to weak internet.
