Sons hired by fathers to depts, they head to be fired

KABUL (Pajhwok): The supreme leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has ordered the removal of the people hired by their fathers to the organisations they head.

The Administrative Affairs Office (AAO) release on Sunday a decree from Maulvi Haibatullah, who said officials’ sons appointed to the same departments where their fathers worked should be fired.

Haibatullah ordered the dismissal of officials’ sons in all government institutions.

Officials of all ministries, departments and other entities have been ordered to avoid recruitment on the basis of nepotism and kinship.

“The officials who have appointed one or more of their sons to the institutions under their command, will be fired,” the decree added.
