MAIMANA (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen have shot dead three people, including an imam (prayer leader), in the capital of northern Faryab province, an official said on Wednesday.
Mufti Mohammad Ismail, the crime branch chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News individuals were gunned down in the Qorogh Sai area of Maimana on Tuesday.
He added: “One of the victims was an employee based in Posht Koh district and the other a seminary student.”
The perpetrators took away an M4 gun and a motorcycle, he said, adding no arrests had been made in connection with the murder.
