ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Forty-thousand people in western Nimroz province have been provided with work opportunity under the ‘Social Economic Support’ programme, an official said on Wednesday.
Mullah Mohammad Haq Bashir, head of the Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department, told Pajhwok Afghan News the ‘Social Economic Support Scheme’ kicked off today (Wednesday) would be implemented in Zaranj, the provincial capital and Khashrud and Dilaram districts by the MOVE NGO in coordination with his department.
The scheme costs over 640 million afs and would help generate job opportunities for 40,000 people in 18 months.
Aminullah, the resident of Dilaram district, told Pajhwok Afghan News he was unemployed for a long time and was searching for work with this project he said now he was able to get work for at least 18 months.
