KABUL (Pajhwok) The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has asked Iran to adhere to the immigration agreement signed between the neighbours.
Acting Refugee and Repatriation Affairs Minister Khalil Al Rahman Haqqani issued the call at a meeting with Iranian Ambassador Hassan Kazimi Qomi
The two sides discussed the problems Afghan refugees were facing in Iran, with Haqqani urging the neighbour to follow the bilateral immigration agreement.
A statement from the Ministry of Refugee and Repatriation Affairs said Haqqani asked Tehran not to mistreat Afghan refugees and repatriate the bodies of those killed in Iran.
