KABUL (Pajhwok): More than 2,000 Afghan refugees returned from Iran yesterday (Tuesday), the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) said on Wednesday.
At least 2,082 Afghan refugees came back to the country via Islam Qala in western Herat province, the ministry tweeted.
It wrote after a survey, 353 of the returnees were introduced to the International Organization for Migration for assistance.
Also on Monday, about 2000Afghan refugees returned to the country from Iran.
During last solar year (1401), more than half a million (527,000) Afghan refugees were either forcibly expelled or voluntarily returned from Iran.
