LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): A road in the district centre of Musa Kala in southern Helmand province has been asphalted and opened for movement, an official said on Friday.
Eng. Waheedullah Elham, director infrastructure development section of Musa Kala municipality, said the constructed road is 6.3 kilometres long.
He added the road was built at the cost of 3.6 million afs in two months and fund was provided by the municipality.
During the opening ceremony of the road he called on people to pay their taxes in time in order to implement more schemes.
Din Mohammad, the resident of locality, said the road was destroyed during past conflicts and there was urgent need for its reconstruction.
He said he was thrilled to the road being reconstruction and people will not face problems anymore.
