ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Police in southwestern Nimroz province claim seizing a huge quantity of ammonium chloride and detaining two people.
The state-run Bakhtar News Agency reported police recovered 40,000 kilograms of ammonium chloride at the customs office.
The inorganic compound, recovered from two transit vehicles, had been imported into Afghanistan, a police official told the news agency.
Ammonium chloride is used in the production of medicine and the manufacture of explosives.
