2 killed in clash over tree in Baghlan

PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Two people have been killed as a result of a clash between two families in the Khost district of northern Baghlan province, an official said on Sunday.

Police spokesman Sher Ahmad Burhani told Pajhwok Afghan News the two families clashed over a tree in Abidkhel area of the district on Saturday.

He said initially one individual was shot dead and then the victim family killed a man from the other side.

Burhani said one suspect had been arrested in connection with the incident.

A resident of the area, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said two cousins first verbally clashed over a tree and then resorted to violence and as a result two people were killed on both sides.
