MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Six Daesh terrorists have been killed in an hours-long clearing operation on their hideout in the Nahri Shahi district of northern Balkh province.
Balkh police spokesman Mohammad Asif Waziri told Pajhwok Afghan News the operation on the Daesh hideout was carried out jointly by personnel of police, intelligence and 888 operational forces in Nadar Alami Street.
He added that six Daesh militants were killed in the hours-long operation and the area was cleared of their presence.
He did not say if security forces also suffered any casualties in the operation --- the third in the last one month against Daesh militants in Balkh.
A few days ago, intelligence officials claimed killing key figures of the group in Mazar-i-Sharif.
