1 killed, 4 injured as worshippers clash in Kapisa

MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): One person was killed and four others wounded as two families clashed in the Nijrab district of central Kapisa province, an official said on Monday.

Police spokesman Abdul Fatah Fayez said the clash happened in Afghania Dara area of the district after a verbal clash between members of two families on how to arrange a Khatm-ul-Quran.

According to him, one person was killed and four others from both sides were wounded in the clash.

The father of the slain individual also died due to a heart attack after knowing about his son’s death.

Fayez said three suspects had been arrested in connection with the clash and they were being interrogated.
