KABUL (Pajhwok): Despite the existence of difference of opinion on international stage, Japan is in favor of interaction with the Afghan authorities, the country’s ambassador in Kabul says.
Abdul Qahar Balkhi, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan spokesman, wrote on his Twitter page that Acting Foreign Minister Maulvi Amir Khan Muttaqi met with Japanese Ambassador Takashi Okada in Kabul yesterday.
He said the two sides conferred on bilateral relations and political situation in the country.
“The ambassador of Japan explained that despite the existence of different opinions, his country is in favor of interaction with the Afghan authorities.”
Muttaqi said the region and the world should be ‘realistic’ about the positive developments in Afghanistan to create an atmosphere of cooperation and harmony for development and interaction.
