KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Finance (MoF) provided tax exemption to 520 foreign institutions and organisations working in the area of humanitarian assistance for the last solar year due to which the ministry lost around three billion afs revenue.
On its twitter handle the MoF wrote that all foreign institutions and NGO working in the area of humanitarian aid provision had been exempted from tax.
The source said as a result of the tax exemption the ministry was unable to generate around three billion of revenue.
It added all foreign institutions and NGOs engaged in the provision of humanitarian aid were provided facilities by the ministry and would remain committed on its pledged made with the aid providing orgnaisations.
This comes that two days back the MoF announced over 224.6 billion afs tax exemption to international institutions, NGOs, state institutions, embassies and humanitarian organs.
