KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan produced 4,600 metric tonnes of jujube last year, the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MoAIL) said on Thursday.
The ministry tweeted that 4,600 metric tonnes of red dates were produced in the country last year.
It added 4,382 metric tonnes of the Chinese dates were produced in Farah and the rest in Herat, Laghman, Nuristan and Nimroz provinces.
Jujube orchards exist on 219 hectares of land in the country, the ministry informed.
