KABUL (Pajhwok): Deputy Prime Minister Maulvi Abdul Salam Hanafi says the implementation of development projects and international humanitarian aid are vital to end illegal immigration of Afghans.
In a statement, Government Media Information Center (GMIC) said that Hanafi met with the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Eloi Fillion in Kabul on Tuesday.
Fillion said that his organization had worked in orthopedics, public services, health, prisoners’ release, and in some other fields in Afghanistan for the past 40 years continued its work.
For his part, Hanafi hoped that the solution to the economic challenges of the ICRC and its shortage would not affect the Afghans in need.
He asked this organization not to reduce its assistance to Afghanistan but increase it.
Hanafi termed the economic problems behind the illegal immigration of Afghans.
