Talks held with Turkish firm on 2nd phase of Kajaki dam

KABUL (Pajhwok): The contract for the second phase of the Kajaki dam project in southern Helmand province has been reviewed.

A meeting of the leadership committee for major contracts was held on the overall assessment of the second phase of the Kajaki dam project.

Chaired by the Minister of Water and Energy Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor, the meeting was attended by representatives from Ministries of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Agriculture, Economy and Public Works, as well as the Turkish company.

Several aspects came under discussion at the meeting, which exchanged views on dealing with existing challenges and problems in coordination with the representative of the contracting company.
