MAIDAN SHAHR/AIBAK (Pajhwok): Security forces have confiscated weapons belonging to a notorious illegal militia leader Alipur in central Maidan Wardak province, where a man was arrested on charge of possessing hashish.
Maidan Wardak police headquarters in a statement said police seized the weapons belonging to Alipur in Daimardad district and arrested the man for selling drugs in Narkh district during separate operations.
The weapons included two Kalashnikovs, a TT pistol, a walkie-talkie and a quantity of bullets of small and large arms.
The statement identified the detainee in Narkh district as Hamidullah, son of Inayat, who was arrested with 300 grams of raw hashish and four kg of hashish.
Elsewhere, in northern Samangan province, security forces have arrested a drug dealer in the provincial capital, Aibak.
The anti-narcotics police recovered an unspecified amount of ice from his possession. The detainee is currently being investigated.
