ATLANTA (Pajhwok): Pakistan Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar has discussed Afghanistan-related issues with UN chief Antonio Guterres.
On the sideline of the 2-day UN-led meeting on Afghanistan, Khar met with Guterres and representatives of several other countries in Doha, Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote in its twitter handle.
The two-day UN convened talks in Doha ended on Tuesday, with the UN chief slamming unprecedented curbs on the rights of Afghan women.
Speaking at a press conference after the summit in Doha, Guterres said the Doha meeting was not about recognizing the new Afghan rulers, but about developing a common international approach to dealing with them.
At the end of the conference Hina Rabbani met the UN chief.
Khar assured that her country eager to work with international community about Afghanistan.
Both sides also discussed humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan and provision of sustainable economic growth opportunities for the Afghans.
In another tweet it said that Khar also met special representatives of US, Russia and delegations of China and Indonesia and exchanged views about Afghanistan’s situation.
