KABUL/ISLAMABAD (Pajhwok): China, Pakistan and Afghanistan have stressed the imperative of strengthening regional economic links and ensuring stability in Afghanistan.
Foreign Ministers Amir Khan Muttaqi, his Pakistani counterpart Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Qin Gang of China participated in the tripartite meeting in Islamabad on Saturday.
At a subsequent media briefing, excluding Muttaqi, the Chinese and Pakistani ministers said stability in Afghanistan was important for regional prosperity.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari remarked: “Peace and stability in Afghanistan are crucial to social development, regional connectivity and prosperity. We will continue to work with our partners for a peaceful, prosperous and united Afghanistan . . .
