BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): Thousands of residents of central Bamyan province have been provided with job opportunities on development projects, a local official said on Saturday.
Director of Rural Rehabilitation and Development Mullah Ziaullah Khadim said an interview with Pajhwok Afghan News 6,000 residents of Shibar and Saighan districts had been given employment.
The $5 million projects, funded by the World Bank (WB) involved the cleaning of agricultural water channels, repairs of roads and increasing greenery, Khadim added.
