TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): Football league matches has kicked off in Tirinkot, the capital of southern Uruzgan province, an official said on Sunday.
Merza Mohammad Ameerzai, the provincial football federation head, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the provincial league will last for two months.
The winner of the tournament would compete in the league on zonal level, he added.
He said in the past 10 teams were present in the province but now due to economic issues two teams had backed down.
He asked government and national businessmen to pay more attention to the promotion of football game in the province.
