KABUL (Pajhwok): Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan is leading the 2023 electoral fray as a run-off vote looms over the country’s horizon, a media report said on Monday.
None of the contestants could win an outright majority in Sunday’s voting, with the incumbent president polling more than 49 percent of ballots, Reuters reported.
About 97 percent of votes have been counted so far, with Erdogan winning 49.39 percent of votes, followed by his rival Kemal Kilicdaroglu with 44.92 percent.
