2 children killed as many wounded in Khost explosion

KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Two children were killed and two others wounded as a result of explosion inside the house of a imam (prayer leader) in southeastern Khost province on Tuesday.

Police spokesman Mustaghfar Gurbaz told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in the Bahramkhel village of Ismailkhel Mandozi district today morning.

The explosion took place inside the house of the imam, he said, adding the nature of the blast was not ascertained but investigation was underway in this regard.

According to Mustaghfar, Mufti Farooq survived the blast but two of his minor daughters lost their lives and two others wounded.
