KABUL (Pajhwok): Representatives of the Turkish Red Crescent and Diyanat Foundation on Thursday assured they would continue to assist and reach out to the poor people in Afghanistan.
The Afghan Red Crescent Society wrote on Twitter said Turkey Diyanat Foundation representative Abdul Qadir Oglu and Turkish Red Crescent in-charge in Afghanistan Farid Ahmad Zia met Afghan Red Crescent Society president Maulvi Matiul Haq Khalis at his office in Kabul.
They discussed humanitarian aid and joint cooperation and Khalis expressed his gratitude to Turkey Diyanet foundation for distributing aid in Afghanistan through ARCS during last year.
Khalis said as the level of poverty had increased in Afghanistan, he expected Diyanet foundation to further boost its humanitarian aid via ARCS to Afghans.
He urged Turkey Diyanet foundation to help construct homes for earthquake-hit people in Paktika, Khost provinces and mosques in different areas of the country.

For his part, Abdul Qadir Oglu promised that they would work together with ARCS to provide humanitarian services, especially in health and disaster sections.
Oglu said besides cooperating in construction homes for earthquake-hit people in Paktika and Khost provinces, they would also cooperate helping the orphans and widows and providing clean water in rural regions of the country.
At the end of meeting, Oglu promised that they were ready to build a large slaughterhouse to provide sacrificial meat to those on brink of starvation and inaugurate a Turkish language learning center in Kabul.
