KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs (MoHRA) on Saturday said that the first flight carrying 346 pilgrims will depart today from Kabul.
The ministry says 30,000 pilgrims from Afghanistan will visit the holy sites in Saudi Arabia during the Hajj season this year.
According to the ministry, the pilgrimage would cost 3,924 dollars (340,000 afghanis) per pilgrim this year.
A source from the ministry, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told Pajhwok that about 360 pilgrims would depart to Saudi Arabia for Hajj ritual today (Saturday).
The first flight would leave Kabul today evening.
Earlier, the Ministry has inked an agreement with Kam Air for transportation of Hajj pilgrims to and from Saudi Arabia.
While signing the contract, the ministry urges the airline to provide the best possible services to the pilgrims.
