Helmand man held for axing spouse to death

LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): A man has killed his wife in the Muse Qala district of southern Helmand province, a local official said on Saturday.

Information and Culture Department spokesman Maulvi Mohammad Qaseem Riaz told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in Shabaroz village on Friday night.

He said the man axed his wife to death as a result of domestic violence. The killer has been arrested by security forces, according to the official.
