KABUL (Pajhwok): Pakistan ambassador Ubaidur Rehman Nizamani hosted Afghanistan national team players and cricket board top officials at his residence in Kabul and discussed with them ways to strengthen cricketing ties between the two countries.
In a statement, the Pakistani embassy quoted Nizamani as saying he qs delighted to host the incredibly talented Afghanistan national cricket team.
He expressed best wishes for the Afghan team’s upcoming tours and also appreciated their efforts, dedication, passion and commitment for cricket and ambassador assured them his full support for betterment of cricket in Afghanistan.
The ambassador also presented calligraphic painting to the Afghanistan Cricket Board Chairman Mirwais Ashraf in presence of ACB CEO Naseeb Khan, national team captain Hashmatullah Shaheedi, high performance coach Imran Farhat, Rana Naveed ul Hassan and other officials of the embassy.
