China backs Afghanistan, against sanctions policy: Envoy

KABUL (Pajhwok): Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan Wang Yu says his country is against the policies of sanctions, pressure and interference and stands by Afghanistan.

Yu met with acting Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani in Kabul, the Ministry of Interior wrote in its twitter handle.

The source quoted Yu as saying that China stood with Afghanistan and believed that the development of nations was only possible in a free and independent environment and Afghans were currently on that path.

Haqqani said the Islamic Emirate had good intention for interaction and expected the same from others and justice was extremely important when it came to international interaction.

Both sides assessed the outcome of the trilateral meeting in Islamabad as positive and stressed improved ties in different sectors.
