Over 1,100 children treated for heart diseases in past 10 months: ARCS

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) has recommended more than 1,100 children with congenital heart defects (CHDs) for treatment at Kabul hospitals in the past 10 months.

Erfanullah Sharafzai, a spokesman for ARCS, told Pajhwok Afghan News over the past 10 months, they introduced 1,117 children suffering from heart disease to different hospitals for treatment.

He said the treatment cost of these children was paid by ARCS.

About 26 children with certain disease introduced by this organization today to Kabul hospitals for treatment, Sharafzai added.
