KANDAHAR (Pajhwok): Five people were publicly whipped on adultery charge and one person for kidnapping a married woman in southern Kandahar province
The six people were punished in the Ahmad Shahi Football Stadium after being convicted of crimes, the Supreme Court said on its official website.
The mentioned persons confessed to their crimes without force or coercion and their cases were investigated by the Criminal Court of Kandahar Province.
“Apart from officials of courts and other provincial departments of Kandahar province, ordinary citizens also attended the meeting held on the occasion of the execution of the punishment.”
