Current govt inclusive, wants good terms with world: IEA officials

KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting prime minister Maulvi Abdul Kabir has said the current government is inclusive and wants positive relations with the world.

Addressing Cabinet members and tribal elders in Kabul, the acting PM said the Islamic Emirate government was committed to resolving people’s problems, strengthening national unity and developing the country and taking advantage of the world’s current situation.

Maulvi Abdul Kabir claimed the current caretaker government in Afghanistan was inclusive and people of every tribe and region worked in it.

He added that Afghanistan had made progress on political and economic fronts and the current government wanted positive relations with the rest of the world. He said if Afghanistan needed the world, the world also needed Afghanistan.

Maulvi Kabir said Afghanistan’s soil had not been used against any neighboring or other countries and would not be used. He said no one could provide evidence to claim that the territory of Afghanistan had been used against anyone.

“I am ready to take the problems of the people and officials’ complaints to the Amirul Momineen to solve them at the highest level.”

He said the interim government was committed to addressing people's problems and had good intentions for all the people.

Acting Foreign Minister Maulvi Amir Khan Muttaqi on the occasion said all the past invasions and groupings in Afghanistan were aimed at dividing Afghans and creating prejudices among them, but the current government’s strategy was to unite the nation and doing away with distances.

Muttaqi ruled out discrimination in the formations of ministries and said those claiming so should investigate the formation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Muttaqi said the Islamic Emirate gave priority to the nation’s demands and at their demand, the government had embarked on preventing the destructions caused by eroding Amu River’s banks.

Acting Mines Minister Sheikh Shahabuddin Delawar said it was the first time in his life seeing a central government and national security in the country.

He said he was determined to absorb professional youth in the Ministry of Mines and asked the youth to use their abilities and talents for the development of the country.

Delawar said no employee of his ministry had been removed from job in the name of the previous administration. He said currently more than 2,500 employees, including 175 women, from different tribes and religions were working in his ministry.

Another high ranking official Anas Haqqani said warmongers could not achieve development and the wars imposed on Afghanistan and the tragedies that ensued were the outcome of such aggressive thoughts.

He said that the Islamic Emirate wanted progress and development in strengthening national unity, closeness and mutual acceptance.
