KABUL (Pajhwok): Forty-four new cell towers will be erected on the direction of acting Balkh Governor Mohammad Yousuf Wafa in the Northern Zone of the country, an official said on Friday.
According to Bakhtar News Agency Mohammad Sabit Numan, head of the Afghanistan Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (ATRA), said Balkh governor had order them to identify locations for the installation of new cell towers in five Northern provinces.
There provinces where the new cell towers would be activated are Samangan, Jawzjan, Balkh, Sar-i-Pul and Faryab. He said until now three cell towers had been erected in the Qoush Tapa and Darzab districts.
