Elderly man killed as families clash in Nangarhar

JALAJABAD (Pajhwok): An elderly man has been killed as a result of armed clash between two families in the Achin district of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Sunday.

Police spokesman Abdul Basir Zabuli told Pajhwok Afghan News that a clash took between the two rival families in the district, killing an elderly individual.

He said security forces had reached the area, but the killers managed to escape the area. However, a manhunt launched for their arrest.

Sayed Rahman, a resident of the area, said the two rival families had reconciled before, but they quarreled once again.
