KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Finance says customs officials foiled a bid to smuggle 10 tons of crushed lithium stone, statues and gemstone beads to Pakistan.
The ministry tweeted the items were placed in an export shipment of talcum stone and were being smuggled to Pakistan.
The shipment, belonging to an extraction company, wanted to smuggle the goods illegally to Pakistan, but customs officials at Torkham discovered and identified them.
The Ministry of Finance said currently all customs offices were strictly monitoring and no one was allowed to export or import goods without legal procedures.
