KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MoCIT) has inked contracts worth 365 million afs with private companies on the bases of which telecommunication services would be provided to the masses in the far-flung areas of the country.
The PM’s Economic Affairs Aide Office on its twitter handle wrote: “The contract was inked the presence of Economic Affairs Aide Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar and Information Technology Minister Najibullah Haqqani.”
The source said that the contracts were signed with the AWCC and MTN which will create 33 sites in the far-flung areas of Kandahar, Badakhshan, Nuristan, Uruzgan, Zabul Kunar, Nangarhar and Kabul province.
“The Islamic Emirate considered serving people as its duty and pledged to provide all necessary services to the people,” said Beradar
He said the IEA created investment opportunities and appreciated the efforts of businesspersons and trader in promoted the economy of the country.
