FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): The deputy governor of northeastern Badakhshan province, Maulvi Nisar Ahmad, was killed along with another individual in a car bombing on Tuesday morning, an official said.
The car bombing targeted the vehicle of deputy governor Ahmadi in Faizabad city, the provincial capital, at around 8:15am in the morning, said Mahazuddin Ahmadi, director of information and culture.
He said three people, including the deputy governor, were killed and six others wounded in the bombing.
He added the injured were evacuated to provincial hospital for treatment and investigation into the bombing was underway.
